Tired, TBC, Hotpot
Today, after my Bible study, I felt a bit grumpy, even though today is supposed to be a day of rest. The day was packed: visiting family, Bible study, meetings, and watching video lectures... Part of me just wants to drop everything and take a break from family, ministry, and countless other responsibilities.
For dinner, my family made a reservation at a hot pot restaurant to see my eldest brother off before he heads back to New York. I was rushing, anxious about being late. I arrived four minutes past the reservation time; I was the first one there. The next person didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes. Filipino time—that means being late, sometimes excessively so, and not feeling rushed about it.
At dinner, I met Frank, a friend of my brother from church. Frank is a CPA originally from Wuhan, China.
For the conference, I have to give KY credit; the scheduling, time management, and communication have all been excellent. Logistically, this may be the best TBC conference we’ve had so far.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, I have the whole day to prepare for the upcoming school week. I’m debating whether to arrive early to make sure I’m fully prepped or to come just in time for Bible study.
