Topic Sentence and Supporting Sentence
One of the challenges of writing essays is creating a logical flow of ideas, where each sentence seamlessly connects to the next. How exactly does a supporting sentence reinforce the topic sentence? To do so, think about which word or idea in the topic sentence you would like to elaborate upon.
Here are different ways to elaborate on the topic sentence. Remember, since your topic sentence broadly states that you are interested in animals, the supporting sentence should not focus on a specific animal. The third sentence, the numeration sentence, is where you will list your top three favorite animals.
